MOBILE PHONE INTERFACES
Glensound Electronics Ltd have designed and now manufacture 2 different mobile (cell) phone interfaces.
Our original unit the GS-MPI connected to the mobile phone by a physical cable. This physical connection causes two separate problems, firstly the cable acts as an aerial and under some circumstances RF interference can disturb the incoming audio, secondly the connectors that mobile phones use are of a domestic nature and as such have been proven not to withstand the abuse that broadcast use gives them.
Because of the problems with the GS-MPI we have developed the GS-MPI002, this solves both of the issues of the GS-MPI by connecting to the mobile phone by Bluetooth.
