1U & BRICK
ISDN 'BRICK' type GSGC9-SOLO

FRONT VIEW OF 'BRICK'
This 'brick' is one of our standard GSGC9 modules housed in a case (117mm x 77mm x 206mm) complete with a power supply unit. Containing two independent codecs and a twin terminal adapter, it is a very economical way of providing G722 quality lines from point to point using the ISDN network. If used with one of our GSGC10 dialler units it is extremely easy to set up and operate. Also incorporated in each codec is the G711 algorithm. This is the algorithm used for ordinary telephones so it is possible to communicate with any normal telephone. When communicating with any normal telephone it effectively becomes a telephone balance unit with perfect balance.
MIC AMP VERSION
A special version of this unit coded GSGC18A is available with a mic amp
built into port one, this input is switchable between mic and line . A limiter and front
panel gain control is included in this version which is 20mm wider.
ISDN 1U SUBRACKS
This range of ISDN 1U subracks houses the Glensound
standard ISDN module type GSGC9 along with a power supply unit. Up to four GSGC9 modules
can be fitted in a single 1U subrack to interface with up to eight independent ISDN B
channels. DTMF in band signalling is used to control the modules while operator
information is also provided in band by recorded messages.
Available fitted with 1,2,3 or 4 GSGC9 modules
Front panel is always fully punched so extra GSGC9 modules can easily be added by the customer.
Each GSGC9 contains a terminal adapter, designed to operate on an ISDN S bus, and 2 codecs
Each codec can operate in G722 or G711 modes
GSGC9 modules use DTMF for set up and dial
All inputs and outputs are balanced and appear on rear panel varicons. Bantam jacks are provided on the front panel
